Mark your calendars for SUNDAY SLICES WITH NMU.
at Main Street Pizza
FEBRUARY 2ND FROM 2-4 PM
The Great 8 dodgeball event will be held at Florence High School on Saturday, February 15th. There is a need for individuals that would be willing to help that day. The time would be from about 10-2, but could change depending if we have enough 7th/8th grade dodgeball teams to host those events.
Positions that are needed are a clock worker, and several dodgeball officials that would run the games.
There will be a gift card given to all individuals that help about a month after this event. Lunch will also be provided.
If you are interested please email tomczaks@myflorence.org as soon as possible.
Thank you!

On Tuesday, Dec 10th, Mrs. Cassidy and the high school environmental science class visited the school forest. They enjoyed an interpretive hike around the property that was led by Andy Nault, DNR Forester/Ranger, Taylor Ziolkowski, Florence County Forestry and Parks Assistant Administrator, Lindsay Peterson, Wild Rivers Invasive Species Coalition (WRISC) Coordinator, and Natalie Hunding, WRISC Project Manager.
The students learned about the history of the school forest, the impact of white-tailed deer on forest regeneration, the impacts of invasive species on forest ecosystems, the importance of forests and bogs in the carbon cycle, and they observed examples of ecological succession on our school forest property.
The class would like to thank Ms. Secrist, Mr. Jerue, Mrs. VandenHeuvel, Mrs. Roberts, Mr. Knox, Mr. Witynski and our guest speakers who all put in extra effort to help make our trip to the school forest go very smoothly. In addition, special thanks goes out to Mr. Gaston who drove us there safely and joined us for our day of learning.
Congratulations to Abby Novak, our Student of the Week! 🎉 Abby is a kind, focused, and hardworking student who always strives for her best. We're so proud of her dedication to her studies and her future in nursing! 🏥📚 #StudentOfTheWeek #GoFloCats
Our 3rd graders got creative and collaborative with our Christmas Tree Challenge! 🎄 Each team worked together to design and build the tallest tree using only toothpicks and gumdrops. Teamwork and problem-solving skills were on full display! #ChristmasFun #STEM #GoFloCats
