The 29th Great 8 Winter Games was held on Saturday, February 17th in Florence, Iron Mountain, Kingsford, Niagara, and Norway. The area 4th-8th grade students had the opportunity to participate in individual and team sports. It was a wonderful experience for our youth with memories that will last a lifetime.
I would like to thank the Florence County School District for its continued support. I would also like to thank the following area sponsors that have helped tremendously in offsetting the cost of providing this positive experience to the youth in our area and have helped make this annual event a huge success: Great North Bank
Florence Elementary School PTO
Barb’s Cafe
I would also like to thank the many coaches and volunteers that dedicated numerous hours helping our youth enjoy the Great 8 experience:
Morgan Tomczak, Jay Walstrom and Samara, Teresa Chrisman, Allison Wells, Paul Reed, Bri & Robert Knox, Bryce Leffler, Bella Millan, Madison Johnson, Sami DeMuri, Ashlyn VanDenHeuvel, Bill Witynski, Chris Secrist, Monica Chartier, Matt Brooks, Ben & Sammie Pyrcz, Matthew Smith, Jackson Robinson, William Kelley, Tyler Novak, Logan Thompson, Melissa Faccio and Dustin Williams, Bryan Bomberg, Richelle Jochem, Vanessa Schimmelpfenning, Holly Krueger, Autumn Lambert & the National Honor Society
