Homecoming Spirit Week is September 30 to October 4. The days are as follows Monday - Crazy Hair Day, Tuesday - Throwback (Decade), Wednesday - Superhero, Princess or Sports Star Day , Thursday - Crazy Hat Day, Friday -Green & Gold Day. #GoFloCats
Reminder Parents/Guardians, Tomorrow is our first early release of the new school year. Elementary Parent pickup is at 12:05, Elementary buses leave at 12:15, MS/HS dismissal is at 12:30. TY
Florence Elementary PTO is currently looking for a new committee lead & volunteers to plan this event. If you're interested in seeking this event continue, please think about volunteering. Unfortunately, we can't continue to offer fun events without some wonderful volunteers!
Registration for all Karate students for the 2024-2025 school year must be mailed to the address below or turned into the Elementary or High School Office by Wednesday, September 11 th . Forms can also be picked up at these office locations. All forms must be filled out completely along with a $15.00 registration fee per child plus the first month’s class payment. This registration fee goes to cover startup costs. The cost per class is $10.00. The first month’s total class payment will be $45.00. Checks can be made out to Wayne/Karen Harrison. The first class will start Monday, September 16th at the Florence
Elementary School in the Music Room. Class times will be determined after registration so please register early.
We recommend students be at least five years old to begin Karate lessons. Classes will be $40.00 per 4-
week month, ($50.00 for five-week month). Discounts will be given for families having three or more children participating. Charges will be $40.00 per child for the first two and $20.00 for each additional child (this is for a 4-week month). Class fees are due the first class of each month, missed classes will not be refunded students can attend make-up classes. If you are paying a month late a 10% late fee will be added. If payment is not received by the end of the next month, the student will not be allowed to attend class. Any "bounced" checks will have a $40.00 fee added. Students in need of a Karate uniform the order will be placed Monday, October 1st. The students’ black uniforms will cost approx. $40.00. Payment must be in prior to order.

The Florence Elementary School will be having its annual “Open House” on Thursday,
August 29 th from 2:00 – 5:30 pm. Parents and children are invited to school to meet
teachers, see rooms, and sign forms. There will also be an opportunity to learn more
about community agencies and groups. The first day of school is Tuesday, September
3rd for all students.

Our 4K program is designed to provide high quality engaging learning experiences that foster natural curiosity through a variety of learning activities. Small group and language rich environments promote children’s social and emotional development and problem solving skills. All girls in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade who would like to participate should attend practice. You must have a physical on file with the District before you can begin practicing.
